The CMAC flying site is situated on the beautiful Canterbury Plains of New Zealand, just a few kilometers outside of Christchurch City and caters for all types and sizes of model planes and flying types.
Our flying is done on Saturdays & Sundays (weather permitting) and the occasional weekday. Soaring (gliding) happens most Saturday mornings, and radio control power flying on Sunday mornings. Free flight and control line happen at various times – but you will normally see someone out there on a Sunday morning. Indoor free flight happens at the Templeton Community Hall.
If you are interested in coming along to watch, fly, or just get some more information please contact the Club President Grahame Hart – 021 2436127 or the Club Secretary Graham Moffat – 021 02254347
All visitors are welcome at CMAC to watch and chat with the pilots at any time – please keep the gates closed and drive carefully along the fence lines and park next to other cars. Please only drive on the obvious tracks and keep a watch out for stray free flight models both in the air and on the ground.
